Amira Al Taweel's husband, the Emirati businessman Khalifa Al Muhairi, announced his bankruptcy, after suffering from uncollected debts and loans. A case was filed against him in London, after he was exposed to a fraud that led to the collapse of the company "NMC Health Plc", in which he holds the position of vice president of the company.
He will sell his mansion in Kensington, London, for about $34 million.
It is noteworthy that Amira Al-Taweel achieved fame after her first marriage, which was to Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal in 2008, and she was his last wife. Five years after this marriage, the American newspaper New York Post published news of the divorce by mutual consent between Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal and his wife Amira Al-Taweel. The newspaper indicated that Prince Al-Waleed’s wife agreed with her husband to separate in an amicable manner while maintaining a good relationship between them in late November. /November 2013.
