The Economic Court in Egypt punished graphic designer Ghada Waly with 6 months in prison and a fine of 10,000 pounds for each work stolen from a Russian artist’s paintings.
She was sentenced to imprisonment, a fine, and a bail of 10,000 pounds, in addition to paying temporary compensation of 100,000 pounds, on charges of violating intellectual property and stealing artworks by Russian artist Georgi Kurasov and using them in the Metro Girls College.
