Here is the story of the word “Hello” at the beginning of the phone call
The word “Hello” is said automatically at the beginning of the phone call, whether the person is receiving or dialing the number.
What is the story of this phrase? It turns out that the source of the word goes back to the inventor of the Hungarian telephone exchange, Tivadar Puskas, an engineer. During the first test in 1877, he asked the person he was calling, saying: Halod? It means can you hear me? He replied: “Halom,” which means “I hear you,” then “Hallo,” which means “I listen to you.” These phrases changed over the years until they became “Allo” in France.
The word Hello is also attributed to the Scottish inventor of the telephone, Graham Bell, who used the word Ahoy or Hello.
