Hussein Al Jasmi raises controversy with “A brunette with brown eyes”
Emirati artist Hussein Al Jasmi, who also holds Egyptian citizenship, sparked controversy with his song “Asmarani, His Eyes Are Samra,” which he released during the holy month of Ramadan as an advertisement for a telecommunications company.
The controversy lies in the fact that Al Jasmi addressed the Egyptian people in the song in a wonderful way, but he specified that all Egyptians have dark skin, so many young Egyptians who have white skin and colored eyes posted videos of themselves on social media and were embarrassed that Al Jasmi did not mention them in the song. It comes as a joke.
The song “Asmarani, His Eyes Are Samra” achieved a lot of success and topped the trend in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and other countries.
