A court ruling imprisoning Nisreen Tafesh in Egypt
After Syrian actress Nisreen Tafesh opposed the judicial ruling issued against her, which ruled her imprisonment for 3 years on charges of issuing a bad check worth 4 million pounds, the Misdemeanor Court in Egypt rejected her opposition, and upheld the ruling issued against her by the court of first instance in Case No. 1636 of 2023.
The ruling stated: “Accepting the opposition in form, and rejecting the appeal of forging the check, based on the validity of the writing.”
The ruling came after Nisreen Tafesh’s handwriting was examined, and it was confirmed that she was the one who signed the checks submitted by the victim, but reports also confirmed that the information about the check was written by another person, and it is difficult to know the time difference between the two writings.
